STURGEON BAY — If you’re looking for a fun-filled, kid friendly holiday event to attend over the next couple of months, look no further than the Merry-Time Festival of Trees.

The Door County Maritime Museum will be hosting its 9th annual Merry-Time Festival of Trees starting on Saturday, Nov. 14 and it will run through Sunday, Jan. 3. Open daily from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., there should be plenty of opportunity to come out and enjoy all that this event has to offer in a safe and socially distanced way.

On the first day of the festival, children will be able to have a socially distanced photo opportunity with Santa from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. before he counts down to the lighting of the historic tug John Purves as well as the lighting of the Beacon Room at the top of the new Jim Kress Maritime Lighthouse Tower at 4:30 p.m.

The Merry-Time Festival of Trees showcases trees, wreaths and decorative displays donated to the Door County Maritime Museum by businesses and individuals in the community. Visitors and supporters of the museum will be able to buy raffle tickets for a chance to take a display home with them.
